I have been watching anime since I was a kid, and I personally think 2019 is an amazing year. I don’t want to mention the story of each anime, because it will ruin it for you.

I have been going to Muharraq Skewers for the past few months. Honestly, it is the best mix grill restaurant in Kuwait. The food is always fresh and the meat is always juicy and tender. The restaurant is located in Salmiya and it is a very small restaurant and always full. The only time I go and find a table instantly is when they first open but from 7:30 or 8:00 PM, it takes around 1 hour to get a table. I use an app called Requeue to be in line so I don’t have to wait outside the store. Let me share what I usually order from Muharraq Skewers
1- Bahrini Tikka (Marinated with Loomi)
2- Hearts
3- Arayes
4- Kebab
5- Hummus
Just order the mentioned items and for sure you will be more than happy.
The battle between Carriage and Deliveroo has been going on for sometime. I personally use Talabat, Carriage, and Deliveroo. My favorite one is Deliveroo because of the superior customer service. Even though Deliveroo is my favorite app, I can’t use it that much. The main reason of why I use Carriage more than Deliveroo is the option to write notes for each item I order. At the Duwaneyah, I usually order food for 10+ people, and each person customize his order differently. For example we order from Fat Burger, I will get a request saying I don’t want onions in my burger. The other want extra mayo and so on. The problem is that I can’t add any notes to the items I order on Deliveroo. When I use Carriage I have the luxury to write down a note for each item, and that’s why I still use Carriage more than Deliveroo. This case applies to all my friends at the Duwaneyah and all of us are forced to use Carriage instead.
I hope Deliveroo update their app to include such feature. If they do, they will be much more competitive.

I realized this is a very common mistake in Kuwait where people go and order the fried chicken bucket at KFC and since they are in a rush, they get the pieces that are in the heating oven. Most of the time, the chicken in the oven is dry and not as crunchy.
“Try my method that has been working for many years”
First go to your favorite branch of KFC (My favorite is Daiya), park your car and go inside the store. Order the spicy fried chicken bucket of 9, 15, or 21 pieces. Ask the cashier to make a new batch and he will tell you that it will take between 20 to 25 minutes. Tell the cashier that you don’t mind the wait and sit on a chair until it is ready. Either eat it at the store or go home within 15 minutes. Once you have your first bite, you will experience the taste, crunchiness, and hotness of each fried chicken piece. Once you try my method, you will never go back to eating the old way. This is what fried chicken suppose to taste like
Yesterday a relative of mine was shocked because of the amazing taste, especially that he has been eating KFC since he was a kid, but it never tasted this way before. Now he likes it more than ever even though he has always been a fan of KFC.
Back when I was a kid, my favorite animation was Dragon Ball Z and Guyver. I always loved the Guyver character, but all the toys and statues were very low quality. Things have completely changed when Prime 1 Studio announced the Guyver lineup. It is super high quality and worth every dollar. I bought Guyver 0, Guyver I, and Guyver III. Guyver II (Guyver 2) is the only one missing from my collection, and I can’t wait for Prime 1 to announce it. The Gigantic line of Guyvers didn’t interest me, because I never saw them in the animation.
In Kuwait, it is very common to see Shawarma being served in weddings, companies events, and gatherings. It is the most critical menu item for any event even if there is big selection of buffet menu. Whenever I go to a wedding, I see people gathering around the Shawarma, which makes me want to congratulate the groom ASAP and go to eat the Shawarma. The most common way to motivate the guys to go to a wedding is reminding them that there will be Shawarma at the wedding.
On the 29th of November 2019 National Union of Kuwaiti Students held an event in Marriott Marquis in San Diego, CA. The NUKS Expo Marina Edition was an outdoor event where they had multiple restaurants, coffee shops, and dessert concepts.
The event was really amazing, and the students were really happy. Concepts such as Afters, Vivace Pizza, and Kanafeh Cafe made the event fun.
The line was so long, the longest I have ever seen at any of Nuks events. Students were waiting in line from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, so a total of 4 hours. The event was stopped by the hotel for exceeding operational hours, or else the restaurant would have continued serving and the students to stand in line. According Simsim Chef Ibrahim AlSharief, he processed around 1,600 – 1,750 Shawarmas, which is a very big number.
As usual NUKS does a great job managing the events. I look forward to next year, and definitely you will find me next to the Shawarma.
