Where To Order Sony IZNONE PC Gaming Accessories in Kuwait

It seems Sony is getting much more serious about PC gaming the past 1-2 years. They first released their games on PC, which I never thought that they will ever take that approach. Now they released an entire new gaming brand for PC gaming accessories called INZONE. The first two items they released were headsets and monitors.

How To Get International Driving License For 10 Years in Kuwait

Now is the season to travel and I see a lot of people applying for Kuwait’s International Driving License. You can order it online on their website and it cost 10 KD for 1 year, which is a lot. If you ask for delivery then it will be 13 KD since delivery cost 3 KD. I personally order my International Driving License from an international website and you can get up to 10 years. The website is called idlid and the prices is as the following

Book & Plastic Card for 7.5 KD (Additional card cost 3 KD)

Book & Mag Stripe Plastic Card for 10.75 KD (Additional card cost 4.5 KD)

Book & Gold Plastic Card With Chip for 24 KD (Additional card cost 15 KD)

The above prices doesn’t factor in the shipping. The shipping cost 10 KD for 2-4 weeks delivery and it cost 41.7 KD for 3-6 days delivery. The beauty about idlid is that the cost of 1,3,5, and 10 years validity is all the same.

The license was used to rent a car in Spain without any issue, so it works perfectly.

Maxed Out Macbook Pro 16″ Price in Kuwait

I was curious to know the price of the Maxed out Macbook Pro 16″ in Kuwait since it is the most expensive laptop at Apple. The specs is the following.

  • Apple M1 Max chip with 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine
  • 64GB unified memory
  • 8TB SSD storage
  • 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display
  • Three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI port, SDXC card slot, MagSafe 3 port
  • 140W USB-C Power Adapter
  • Backlit Magic Keyboard with Touch ID – US English / Arabic
The price in the US is $6,099 which is equal to 1,870 KD. If you factor in shipping and customs the difference will be around 200 KD. I went to Gait in Assima Tower and the price was 2,176 KD. I started to be afraid to order from the US after one of my laptops was lost or stolen in a shipment and I couldn’t get my money back. Buying in Kuwait is safer than a forwarding address, but it comes at a cost.

Talabat Pro | Unlimited Free Deliveries Launched in Kuwait

Talabat Pro finally launched in Kuwait. Talabat Pro is the competitor to Deliveroo Plus where you pay 3.5 KD per month and you get free deliveries for orders above 4.5 KD from certain restaurants. You also get 4 free coffees and 1 beverage for up to 2 KD from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. You can subscribe now and get 2 weeks trial to see if it works for you or not. I subscribed already and I chose Chicken King for an order and I got free delivery in the checkout page then I realized that it was the wrong address. When I changed the address, they showed delivery charges in the checkout page, so it seems it isn’t working properly yet. I ended up paying for delivery even though I am subscribed to the service.

Budget Vs Premium TV’s in Kuwait

I never expected to be interested in trying out new TV brands as I have always been stuck to buy either Sony or Samsung TV’s. About 2 years ago, I needed to buy a new TV for my office and I didn’t want to spend much. Of course I looked at Sony and Samsung first, but then decided to spend less because of the very light use of that TV. That was the very first time where I stepped out of my comfort zone and bought a TV that isn’t Sony or Samsung. The TV I bought was a 55″ TV from Hisense for 99 KD. I was surprised that the TV was excellent, and it was perfect for presenting our powerpoint files. The resolution is great, and it is a TV that can be perfectly used for watching movies. Until today, the TV is still functioning properly without any issues.

Since buying the Hisense TV, I started giving a chance to other brands. Between my home and the office, I tried the following brands

1- LG C1 OLED 77″ (1,500 KD) | This is my favorite gaming TV where the colors and contrast are great and really deliver an amazing gaming experience, but has the worst remote ever. The remote is such a piece of junk that is so laggy and doesn’t always work. The operating system doesn’t compare with Samsung Tizen and Android TV. I personally regret buying LG just because of the remote and operating system, and if I go back in time, I will buy the Sony A90J 83″ which is often at the same price as the LG C1 77″

2- Sony X90J 75″ (650 KD) | This is a really great TV and I don’t have a single issue. Just my first delivery the colors were fading across the TV so I got it replaced and since then I don’t have any issue.

3- Samsung AU7000 70″ (335 KD) | This is the perfect TV for office use because of connecting via Bluetooth for Windows laptops and Airdrop for Macs. This TV we had to change the panel after a year of intensive use at the office, and it cost us 120 KD to replace.

4- Orca Android TV 75″ (240 KD) | Got this TV for the Diwaneya, and it is perfect for watching Netflix and basic gaming. This is my recommendation for Diwaneyas since it is very inexpensive and does the job.

5- Smart Tech Android TV 65″ (135 KD) | This TV has good colors, but the remote works once every 20 clicks. This TV can only be found at Eureka, but I can’t find it recently.

6- Hisense 55″ (99 KD) | This TV good budget TV for basic use as well.

My conclusion is the following.

Sony | The best brand for home entertainment / gaming. I would have chose LG if it wasn’t for the remote and operating system. Of course I would stick to OLED or the new QD-OLED for gaming

Samsung | The best brand for office use because of how smooth it is to connect to Windows and Mac to the TV. It is much faster than Sony TV’s when it comes to connecting to the TV

Orca | The least expensive large size Android TV’s in the market which are perfect for basic use in places such as a none gaming Diwaneyas.

I started to see more Orca, TCL, Hisense, and Skyworth TV’s at Diwaneyas and it makes a lot of sense since they are perfect for most people due to their basic use. It is a different case for gamers where the high refresh rate and deep contrast make the gaming experience much better.
