I used to eat strawberry chocolates all the time, but these days I am so addicted to La Fraise Raspberry Bites. The combination is perfect where you have raspberry, white chocolate, milk and biscuits. Each bite is so perfect due to the crunch of the biscuits. The problem with the raspberry bites is that once you have one, you will eat one after the other. Now I order 3 orders all the time from La Fraise, and the first one is chocolate strawberries with caramel. The second one is the raspberry bites, and the last one is the chocolate with extra qamardin. I rarely see a concept where they have multiple signature products. I have been getting comments and emails about scheduling a tour to Hectare’s factory in Kuwait. Of course it is fun to see how potato chips or popcorn is made. What I did was I called the management of Hectare’s and told them that I am getting emails and comments for people who wants a factory tour. They told me that they are fully booked for the next 4-5 months, which is really impressive. The reason people want to visit Hectare’s factory is because it is by far the most luxury factory in Kuwait and their products is known for top quality. I subscribed already and I chose Chicken King for an order and I got free delivery in the checkout page then I realized that it was the wrong address. When I changed the address, they showed delivery charges in the checkout page, so it seems it isn’t working properly yet. I ended up paying for delivery even though I am subscribed to the service.

For the past few months I have been addicted to chocolate strawberries with caramel from La Fraise. After coming back to Kuwait, I couldn’t find really good chocolate strawberries. I tried from multiple places, but nothing was worth mentioning. Back in the day, my favorite chocolate strawberries were from Godiva in California, but when I moved to Kuwait I couldn’t find what I was looking for. Now La Fraise is exactly what i was looking for, and I am eating the ones with caramel only. My friends liked the ones with Kinder or Flake, but I wasn’t a big fan. The thing with La Fraise is that it isn’t only tasty, but also it is very convenient to eat. The chocolate doesn’t break like most chocolate strawberries, so it is much easier to eat. Next time I will make a special request to remove calyx and cover the entire strawberry with chocolate to make it even easier to eat. I highly recommend trying La Fraise, so try it out and let me know what you think.

My family have a gathering every Saturday, and today’s meal was steak. Most of the family members wanted Entrecote sauce and fries with the steak. My cousin who is a really great chef gets the raw fries and sauce from Relais Entrecote, which is at Salhiya, Murooj, and Avenues Gardens. Some people get confused with the other Entrecote, which is at Al Hamra, Al Fanar, Avenues, and 360 Mall. Friends and family always get confused between the two, and some think that the sauce has changed, but they don’t know that they are two different concepts looking almost the same. Anyway, I went to Al Hamra branch of Entrecote because it is next to my home, and I asked to buy raw fries and sauce for 10 people. The lady told me that she can’t sell me the fries but she can sell me the sauce. I asked for 10 small 8oz containers, so she asked her manager to take my order. He freaked out when he heard that I asked for 10, and told me that he can only sell 1-2 max. I told him that at Salhiya they sell whatever number I ask for. He called the HR to ask for the maximum number that they call sell, so the HR told him to sell a max of 3 containers. They made it such a big deal like I am buying their secret recipe, so I said you know what let me buy the 3 and go to the other branch. I bought 3 containers and went to Al Fanar branch, and when I asked to buy 9 containers, the manager freaked out much more than the one at Al Hamra. He said I can’t sell more than one container. I said you know what let me stick to Relais Entrecote and make my life much easier. I went to Salhiya branch, and I bought both the raw fries and 10 container of sauce. Relais Entrecote was much easier to deal with and much more flexible. So if anyone wants to buy their raw fries and sauce, go to Relais Entrecote at Salhiya, Murooj, and Avenues Gardens. My cousin uses the Relais Entrecote sauce with the Wagyu tomahawk, and it is really amazing. I highly recommend it, because it is a very unique experience having Relais Entrecote at home. Hectare’s shook the market again with a brand new product called Julienne Sticks. I consider it the best sticks chips in the world, and it beats all of the competition. The flavors are really impressive, and the the size and thickness of the stick is perfect. The sticks are thinner than the competition, but for some reason it tastes much better than the thicker ones. The flavors of the sticks is the following
- Sweet Chili
- Ketchup
- Balsamic Vinegar
- Sea Salt
My favorite flavor has always been the Sweet Chili, so I highly recommend buying Hectare’s Sticks once it is available in the market. I got the product before release to try it out, and I personally loved it.

I just had a great experience at Villa Fayrouz. I always go to Villa Fayrouz Shaab branch, and I love their food and their customer service. Sometimes when I don’t feel like to go, I order via Talabat. Since I came back to Kuwait back in 2016, I have been ordering regularly from Villa Fayrouz. Today was the very first time, I get a missing item in my order. I ordered the Chicken Tawook Combo, and it comes with Chicken Tawook, Hummus, and Fattoush. The order was missing the Hummus, and it is the most important item for me. I contacted Talabat via Live Chat and they told me they have a problem reaching out to Villa Fayrouz. I found Villa Fayrouz number on Google Maps and I called them. I explained that the hummus was missing in my order so the customer service person transferred me to the manager. The manager’s name was Wesam, and he was extremely helpful and professional. He asked if I need anything beside the Hummus, but I only wanted the Hummus. I was very happy of how Wesam handled the situation. The Hummus was delivered within less than 15 minutes, so I was extremely happy as a loyal customer. For me this is the magic recipe for every successful restaurant. Tasty food + great management, and this is how every restaurant should be. Thanks again Wesam for the great customer service.

When I eat chips in front of my daughter, she always come and ask for some. I don’t give her any, because she is almost 1.5 years old and I think it is easy to choke while eating regular chips. Few days ago Hectare’s released the product that we were waiting for which is veggie sticks made from tomato, spinach, and potato. The reason my wife and I agreed to give her Hectare’s chips is because they use the highest quality sunflower oil and it is Non GMO, and Gluten & MSG Free. She loved all three flavors, but her favorite is the cheese. Sometimes she chooses the sweet chili but because it has that kick she stops before finishing the entire bag. I am glad to see a product made in Kuwait with such quality. I started to really care what to feed my daughter, because the stuff I grew up eating had a lot of MSG and other things that I should have avoided.
The reason I also really like Hectare’s is because they are the market leader in terms of innovation. They made other local brands copy them whenever they do something. Hectare’s initiated the concept of creating healthy chips ,Non GMO, and Gluten & MSG Free, and now everyone is copying them. The became the market leader in Kuwait and all other brands became followers. The team behind Hectare’s is quality driven, and they want to shape the future of healthy snacks in the region.

The company sent me to Saudi Arabia Riyadh to look for opportunities, because we believe that it will have the highest possible growth in the GCC for the upcoming years. One of the concepts that got our attention is Hanoverian, which is a very luxury chocolate store in Riyadh. The first picture you see is the amazing chocolate that I got addicted to. The chocolate is called Crepe Dulcey and it is very light and it has a very nice crunch to it. The packaging is extremely luxury and the chocolate box is covered with a luxury cloth bag. I haven’t seen such nice packaging before.
My brother’s friend was the one who sent it to us as a gift, and she told us that their products are extremely popular in KSA. I was able to go and buy for my family today. There was another type of chocolate that I tried at Hanoverian which is the truffle. You can find the truffle at their website. I liked the truffle as well but not as much as the Crepe Dulcey. If you ever visit Saudi Arabia Riyadh, then this chocolate is a must try. Both products were impressive, and I highly suggest everyone to try it out.

I realized that I can’t go on diet for more than a week. I have to find something that I eat every few days, and my latest thing is Tea Party Sweets Medium Trifle. The picture above is Large Trifle, but I try to avoid it because it gets more messy when I eat it even though it tastes amazing. The reason I really liked this Trifle is because of the quality and size of fruits and the lightness of their custard. The blackberry is really big and tasty, and it tastes even better with their custard. I highly recommend, leaving the Trifle for 3 hours in the fridge before eating it. The biscuit at the bottom of the trifle will hold much better and it will be easier to eat. This is something that I recommend trying as soon as you can.
