Emirates Airlines decided to jump on board to complete with MyUS, Aramex Shop & Ship, and Postshipper. The service is called Emirates Delivers and the service was launched few days ago. They promising to have an edge over the competitors due to their infrastructure advantage. Emirates Delivers will have the lowest prices and the fastest shipping possible due to Emirates Airlines massive fleet and daily flights across the world. They are promising 3-5 business days for deliveries from the US or UK. Free storage will be for 30 days, which isn’t much for me since I am getting 60 days at Postshipper. I haven’t tried it out yet, but I will give it a try and see if it is better than Postshipper or not, because so far I am very happy with Postshipper. Once I try it, I will post a review of the service.

I used to go to Al Muzaini branches whenever I have to transfer to my house keeper. The process of going to the branch and sometimes wait in line is very annoying. One day I was complaining to my brother and he told me why are you going to the branch. You can do all transfers online, and all of the transactions that I have done in the branch will show in the app. I can literally see all the beneficiaries that the branch entered for me and choose the amount and send the money. I was resisting at first because I didn’t feel like to enter all the data for the beneficiary to transfer, but all the info was already there and I just enter the amount and pay by KNET. Try the app and you will save lots of time.
Now is the season to travel and I see a lot of people applying for Kuwait’s International Driving License. You can order it online on their website and it cost 10 KD for 1 year, which is a lot. If you ask for delivery then it will be 13 KD since delivery cost 3 KD. I personally order my International Driving License from an international website and you can get up to 10 years. The website is called idlid and the prices is as the following
Book & Plastic Card for 7.5 KD (Additional card cost 3 KD)
Book & Mag Stripe Plastic Card for 10.75 KD (Additional card cost 4.5 KD)
Book & Gold Plastic Card With Chip for 24 KD (Additional card cost 15 KD)
The above prices doesn’t factor in the shipping. The shipping cost 10 KD for 2-4 weeks delivery and it cost 41.7 KD for 3-6 days delivery. The beauty about idlid is that the cost of 1,3,5, and 10 years validity is all the same.
The license was used to rent a car in Spain without any issue, so it works perfectly.
Project Fi is one of the services that completely changed my life. I was invited to Project Fi back in August 2015, and back then I was using At&t. I decided to give it a shot and try Google’s latest service. The service was great, but it had some limitations. The main limitation I faced was not being able to have my Whatsapp calls while driving on the 5 or 405 freeways. The connection used to disconnect every 30 seconds and then reconnect again. I ended up going back to At&t for a while, and 6 months later when my schedule was packed with trips outside the US. I joined Project Fi one more time and it completely changed my life. It is such a convenience when I land in each country and turn on my phone while I am on the plane and get internet connection instantly. The only country I didn’t get internet connection was Lebanon, so I had to buy a sim card from one of the local telecom companies. Last time I used Whatsapp calls on the 5 and 405 freeways in Socal, I saw major improvement. The call disconnect every now and then, but I can live with that. Whatsapp calls on Project Fi is’t as reliable as At&t or Verizon, but I believe Google will eventually get there. The beauty about Google is that they always push to improve their services, and they always keep everything very simple. Now most of my family switched to Project Fi, and all of us are really happy with the service. Can’t wait to see Project Fi having internet connection in every single country around the world.
