Few weeks ago I got three samples of Sara Cake Lasagna. The samples were beef, chicken, and vegetables lasagnas. I got really excited when I saw that Chef Zeyad Hamadah was the one who created all three lasagnas. I have heard of Chef Zeyad Hamadah from friends of mine and that he is one of the best chefs in Kuwait. The first lasagna I tried was the beef lasagna, and when i first opened it. I had to decide between using the oven or microwave. Since I had the choice of using any of the options, I decided to use the oven since I had enough time to spare. Sadly I left it in the oven more than what it suppose to and the Lasagna became a bit dry, but still I ate it. It was OK, and I think it had more cheese than what I personally prefer.
The second day I decided to eat the vegetable lasagna and this time I used the microwave. I honestly never expected that I would enjoy a vegetable lasagna that much. I just regret using the microwave because when the cheese on top becomes golden color, the cheese tastes much better. I personally rank the vegetable lasagna as the best one among the three and right now it is my favorite frozen lasagna in the market
The third day I ate the chicken lasagna. The cheese was perfect for me because I used the oven this time. The chicken lasagna in my opinion was better than the beef lasagna. My judgement could be clouded with the beef lasagna because I left it in the oven more than what it suppose to so i think I should give it another shot and update the article.
Sara Cake has been innovative the past few years and the collaboration with Kuwaiti Chefs is a really genius idea. I support such initiatives especially when I see local companies are supports local talents.
