Yesterday I went to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and I was very excited to buy Yoshi and Luma popcorn buckets for myself and my family. For me it was part of the experience to watch the movie. I went early in the morning just to make sure that I can get the Yoshi and Luma popcorn buckets before selling out, but it was already sold out. They told me I came too late as they sold out immediately. My sister in law had a discussion with them and they told her that people came and bought huge quantities. It was a complete scalping behavior that ruined the entire experience of going to the movie. I believe they could have solved this issue with the following
1- Limit the number of buckets per person (1 per person)
2- Only those who bought the movie tickets can buy the popcorn bucket.
In the US, they came up with a solution where you can pre order via the theaters website, but the delivery is for August 2026.
